US Congressman Files Bill Banning Use of DeepSeek on Government Devices
Members of the US Congress plan to submit a bill this Thursday to prohibit the use of the DeepSeek application on government devices.
The reason is that this application is suspected of being able to send user information to the Chinese government, thereby posing a national security risk.
This bill was proposed by a member of the House of Representatives from Illinois, Darin LaHood, and a member of the House of Representatives from New Jersey, Josh Gottheimer. This ban model is similar to the steps Congress took against TikTok—starting with a ban on government devices, then expanding to broader blocking measures.
Gottheimer asserted, “We have alarming evidence that they are using DeepSeek to steal sensitive information of American citizens. This is like a grade five fire in terms of national security threats.”

Additionally, the IRS reminds the public to seek help from trusted tax professionals to avoid fraud or fraudulent tax practices.
New York's Bronx Zoo Welcomes Baby Silverleaf Monkey
A baby silver leaf monkey was recently introduced to the public at New York's Bronx Zoo!
This baby monkey was born in November 2024 and can now be seen by visitors in the Jungle World area of the zoo.
Adult silver leaf monkeys have dark gray fur with silver tips, while newborn baby monkeys have bright orange fur with white faces. Within three to five months, their fur will slowly turn silver-gray like adult monkeys, and their faces will also turn black.
The International Union for Conservation of Nature (IUCN) has included the silver leaf monkey on its list of species vulnerable to extinction. (Hui)
