Australia: Peaceful Protest Outside Chinese Consulate in Perth Marks April 25 Appeal
Falun Gong practitioners in Western Australia held a peaceful protest in front of the Chinese Consulate in Perth on April 24, 2025 to commemorate the 26th anniversary of the April 25 Appeal. They called on the world to jointly stop the Chinese Communist Party's (CCP) brutal persecution of Falun Gong (also known as Falun Dafa).
Previously, on April 19, Falun Gong practitioners in Western Australia held an event at Murray Street Mall in downtown Perth to inform the public about the April 25 appeal and call on all walks of life to help end the CCP's persecution of Falun Gong.
CCP ( China Communist Party ) Information Censorship :
Curtis went to the Falun Dafa booth and talked for a long time with a Falun Gong practitioner. When he learned about the April 25 appeal, he said, “In China, the CCP’s persecution of Falun Gong is terrible. The CCP has done many bad things, and because the information is so suppressed, it is difficult for people to know the truth. I also heard about the CCP’s forced organ harvesting.
This is truly a battle between good and evil. No matter what ideology or political party you belong to, look at things objectively. This is truly a battle between good and evil. Which side do you choose to stand on? We maintain an objective attitude toward what is happening in the world and oppose these evil things.”
He pointed out that the CCP is the worst form of despotism. This totalitarianism has caused countless deaths, destruction, and killings in the 20th century. The essence of communism is state control, and communism simply wants everyone to follow its ideology, no matter what. Communism will do anything to achieve this goal. That is why communism has state propaganda to control people.
“In school, I feel like we only learn one side of history, but not the other,” Curtis said. “History always has two sides. For example, we learn about the crimes of the Nazis and the Holocaust, but we don’t learn about the genocide that happened in China.” Curtis believes, “It’s important to do your own research, think critically, look at things objectively, and see both sides of history.”
“Truth is often stranger than fiction,” he added.
The cities in China look beautiful and clean, but you know… they don’t publicize their labor camps.
“Many things in history have been covered up by lies and propaganda, only to be revealed years later and widely accepted as the truth.”
Persecution Should Not Happen
Ben Peace signed the petition calling for an end to the persecution. He said that he had heard about the CCP’s persecution and forced organ harvesting and had seen Falun Gong practitioners’ peaceful protest in Perth. He said, “The CCP’s forced organ harvesting is horrific, horrific, and unbelievable. They are absolutely insane!”
When he learned about the April 25 appeal and the CCP’s plan to launch the persecution, he expressed his support for Falun Gong practitioners. He said, “I don’t think anyone should be persecuted for living their life the way they want or for living differently from others. Everyone has the right to protest. In Australia, no one has been persecuted for peacefully protesting.”
