Susun Bayam Village Again

Susun Bayam Village was again forcibly evicted, residents suffered injuries and

even fainted Jakarta, 22 May 2024. 

 On Tuesday (21/5), as many as 150 people experienced forced eviction from the Kampung Susun Bayam (KSB) flats located in Papanggo, RT 10, RW 08, Tanjung Priok, North Jakarta. The eviction that occurred involved violence from the authorities, to the point where all the residents were in shock, several people suffered injuries and bruises, and five people fainted. 

A total of 2 pregnant women, 3 elderly people and children also became victims. The officers involved consisted of the North Jakarta Police, Metro Jaya Police, Satpol PP, TNI, and security forces from PT Jakarta Propertindo (JakPro) (Perseroda), the developer of the Jakarta Indonesia Stadium. Flashback, Kampung Susun Bayam is a shelter for the residents of Kampung Susun Bayam, the Civil Farmers Group. 

 The struggles of the residents of Kampung Susun Bayam have been widely enforced, starting from 2008 - 2017 the residents did not have a living space, a safe space for them to grow and develop like a community. Until 2018 - 2019, residents were given the opportunity by the Governor of DKI Jakarta for the 2017 - 2022 period, Anies Baswedan, to organize themselves in symbiosis with the development of JIS. 

The form of symbiosis is the construction of Kampung Susun Bayam located in Kampung Bayam, Tanjung Priok, North Jakarta. The construction of Kampung Susun Bayam is proof of the responsibility of the DKI Jakarta Provincial Government (Pemprov) in the era of Governor Anies Baswedan and PT JakPro for the eviction of residential space belonging to Kampung Bayam residents for the construction of the Jakarta International Stadium (JIS) in 2019.

It's sad that after Governor Anies Baswedan's administration, several related parties, such as Jakpro, began to renege on agreements that had been agreed, resulting in a lack of fulfillment of rights such as flat keys. The residents of Kampung Susun Bayam certainly invited the relevant parties to mediate with open arms, but instead the residents of Kampung Susun Bayam, the Madani Farmers Group, were betrayed. Day after day, the residents of Kampung Susun Bayam, the Madani Farmers Group, experience oppression, such as officers who continue to appear to terrorize the residents so that the residents do not feel at home and leave the flats, which is the residents' right. 

This was made worse by the provincial government's statement which claimed that the Kampung Bayam area historically belonged to the government, even though all 37 families belonging to residents who had just been evicted had their addresses in Kampung Bayam. The intimidation is getting worse day by day, peaking last Tuesday, May 21 2024 (Reformation Day) The dispute that occurred on Tuesday started with the entry of officers into the KSB area at 10.00 WIB and escalated during the day. 

The way out is to make an agreement agreed by the residents and the company with the police witnesses. Through this agreement, residents are demanding the fulfillment of basic needs and adequate housing for residents during the ongoing mediation period with Komnas HAM, as well as demanding the release of Furqon (46) who was forcibly arrested by the North Jakarta Police last month of Ramadhan, to be precise on Tuesday. , April 2, 2024. 

Picking up Mr. Furqon from the North Jakarta police chief to Kampung Susun Bayam apparently did not give a little empathy and sympathy from the authorities and Jakpro, because a number of agreements were slightly violated again, which refers to when Mr. Furqon arrived at Kampung Susun Bayam, new residents were allowed to vacate. 

But before Mr. Furqon arrived at Kampung Susun Bayam, JakPro ordered the authorities to vacate the flat.
