Brussels : Practitioners Hold Event to Mark 24th Anniversary of Efforts to End
the Persecution July 31, 2023 | By Minghui correspondent Rong Fa in Brussels,
Practitioners held an event in the Brussels city center on July
22, 2023 to commemorate the 24th anniversary of ongoing efforts to end the
persecution of Falun Dafa. They demonstrated the Falun Dafa exercises,
distributed leaflets, and told people how the Chinese Communist Party (CCP)
persecutes practitioners and harvests their organs while they are still alive.
One Brussels resident said, “This persecution is against humanity and is too
evil. The city center is a popular shopping destination for both tourists and
residents, and the streets were crowded on July 22. Many people were attracted
to the calm exercise music amid the bustling crowds and stopped to watch as
practitioners demonstrated the Falun Dafa exercises.
Some said they were drawn
by the soothing music and practitioners’ graceful exercise movements. They
wanted to know more about Falun Dafa and why the CCP persecutes such a peaceful
practice. After talking with practitioners, people signed a petition to end the
persecution. Some asked where they could learn the exercises.
“This persecution is against humanity”
Manon Maeinders from the Netherlands works at a police station and was visiting Brussels with her friend. They talked with a practitioner and signed the petition. She said she knows about the CCP’s persecution and that Falun Dafa practitioners have their organs harvested by the CCP. She said, “I have a kind heart and I want to end this because it [this persecution] is against humanity and it’s evil.”
Ms. Maeinders agreed with the principles of Truthfulness, Compassion and Forbearance and said, “I have a lot of feelings about Truthfulness, Compassion and Forbearance, these three words, because I am trying hard to achieve this, to treat others with compassion and maintain an enthusiastic attitude when I meet with problems.”
